David was a farmer for many years. He felt God’s calling to ministry and gave up farming to be a pastor. He received his B.A. from Vennard College in Oskaloosa, Iowa and was a pastor for 20 years. He was passionate about his love for Christ and deeply loved the congregations he shepherded over the years. David was a man of humor, had a laugh that was contagious and loved pulling pranks. He was a lover of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his later years, you could find him gardening, canning, and tending to his bee hives. He never went anywhere without his loyal dog companion, Sissy. He was captivated by God’s creations and found peace and solace in the wonders and beauty of them. |
